As a member of the First Service Residential team and Lifestyle Director, Smith creates inventive social programs and captivating events, elevating the overall Cresswind community experience. Her recent achievements include organizing the three-day grand opening of Club Cresswind, which featured catered meals, live music, a club exhibition, and a watch party for a major sporting event.
Smith shared, “Cresswind’s strong sense of community attracted me. I’ve always connected well with others and enjoyed making people happy. The residents’ eagerness to participate has made this transition a delightful experience.”
Monthly events such as big band parties with the Everly Brothers Tribute Band and popular trivia nights keep the residents engaged. Smith also collaborates with neighbors and resident-led clubs, including crafting, cooking, Rummikub, painting, pickleball, and more. She encourages residents with shared interests to establish new clubs and explore their passions. “These resident-led clubs offer excellent opportunities to discover new interests and form friendships. I’m here to support them by answering questions and providing assistance,” says Smith.
Smith’s favorite aspect of her role is building connections with residents and coordinating events. She eagerly anticipates each day at work. Prior to joining Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes, Smith served as a Cruise Director for American Cruise Lines, where she managed entertainment and excursions. She holds a BA in History and American Studies from Rider University, a Master’s in Education from Drexel University, and a TESL certification. Smith resides in Gainesville, Georgia.
