Monarchs are a regular sight in Georgia’s open habitats during the spring and summer. However, by fall, they embark on their impressive migration to the Mexican mountains. Notably, the monarch butterfly received an endangered status in 2020, which has heightened conservation efforts set to expand in 2024.
