Residents of Soleil Laurel Canyon and their family members gathered in the Soleil clubhouse on Saturday, May 15 for a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser in the name of a good cause. The fundraiser, held by Soleil Laurel Canyon’s Veteran’s Club, raised $2,200 that will help support active military, Veterans and their families throughout Cherokee County and Northwest Georgia areas.
Mementos such as military uniforms and pictures from previous eras of Veterans lined the halls of the clubhouse while Cherokee High School’s Air Force Junior ROTC color guard and drill team performed the Presentation of Colors, Pledge of Allegiance and national anthem. George Bernard, president of Soleil Laurel Canyon’s Veteran’s Club, deemed the event as “outstanding” and praised the outcome as a huge success.
