While many homebuyers moving to Soleil Laurel Canyon want to downsize, they still need room to enjoy all their hobbies. That’s why Soleil is offering a free basement on select homesites through Aug. 31.
“Many home buyers who move to Soleil are looking to downsize,” said Evan Cramer, development manager of Active Lifestyle Communities. “Though they don’t need the extra bedrooms for children, they still want areas to pursue their passions, such as woodworking or scrapbooking. A basement is an ideal place for a hobby room, or even media room.”
Soleil Laurel Canyon offers 14 ranch-style floorplans, ranging in size from 1,500 to almost 3,000 square feet and priced from the $200,000s to the $400,000s. Yard maintenance, a 24-hour staffed security gatehouse and home security monitoring are included in the association fees. Buyers who don’t desire the extra room of a basement may consider a home on one of the level golf- or lake-view lots.
Community amenities include a clubhouse with heated indoor saline pool, billiards parlor, gourmet teaching kitchen, fitness center and aerobics studio, library, two card rooms and an arts and crafts studio. Home owners also enjoy a performing arts center, outdoor amphitheatre, outdoor lagoon-style pool, six clay tennis courts, full-time tennis pro, walking trails, a greenhouse and neighboring golf course. Soleil Laurel Canyon was recently designated one of the 50 best retirement communities in the United States by “Where to Retire.”
