Residents at The Orchards Group’s two metro Atlanta communities are putting the “active” in active adult! Many homeowners at The Orchards of East Cherokee and The Orchards of Brannon Oak Farm are taking control of their lifestyle by organizing and running many of the resident events and activities.
Residents will find a plethora of events, activities and social groups at each of The Orchards Group’s communities. While many of the functions are sponsored by The Orchards Group, the homeowners have taken responsibility for the events and have become more personally involved in the community. Due to the personal touch that the homeowners provide, many of the resident-planned events have been more successful than those that were organized by an activities director.
At The Orchards of East Cherokee, located in Hickory Flat, residents have been particularly active in creating the lifestyle they desire. In the past year, as the community as continued to grow, the monthly Meet and Greet dinner has grown as well. This event has gone from being held just once a month to three times per month!
According to Mitch Block, the sales and marketing director for The Orchards Group, as more new homeowners move in to their communities, there is a growing list of personal interests and hobbies. Because of this, The Orchards Group is seeing a growing use of the clubhouse, which they hope continues as new social groups and events are created.
