Several members of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s 50+ Council took home gold awards proving that Atlanta remains the leader in the active adult industry. The active adult housing market is growing very quickly and these awards show that not only is Atlanta keeping up with the increasing demand, but also that builders in our community care about seniors and their specific needs and wants for their next home. 50+ communities provide options that previously did not exist for aging adults and are continuously increasing in popularity because individuals can remain active and independent while living in a gorgeous home they have always dreamed of. Winners are companies that successfully focus on trendy designs and effective marketing. Gold Award winners included Jim Chapman Communities’ Brookhaven of East Cobb, Isakson Barnhart/Foley Design’s Peachtree Hills Place in Buckhead, Pulte Homes/Del Webb’s The Village at Deaton Creek. Peachtree Hills Place and B. Sheppard Consulting also won a Gold Award for best promotion in the industry.
